люди! а nntp теперь там же, где и uucp с телнетом, фингером и гофером? типа тоже давно умер? или я чего-то упустил?

Да жив еще вроде.

Кстати, самзнаешьгде до сих пор есть живые UUCP-шники. :)

Еще относительно недавно видел живой gopher-сайт, но ссылку что-то не найду.

У нас для пользователей домашних сетей есть халявный nntp с бинарями, но они не ценят :)
